MAIN STREET DESIGN GUIDELINES

In 2010, the Village Board of Trustees created the Williamsville Zoning Committee to begin work on design standards for a new mixed-use district that would encompass Main Street and adjacent commercial areas.  Over the last year, this committee has worked diligently with Bergmann Associates on these design standards.  The committee has now finalized the Mixed Use District Design Standards document, which will be used by the Planning and Zoning Boards once adopted.  This document has been referred to the Village Board of Trustees for adoption.  A public information meeting was held on September 15, 2011 to discuss the new design guidelines with the public.  A public hearing was held on Tuesday, October 11, 2011 at 7:30 pm at Village Hall, 5565 Main Street, Williamsville.  Following are redline versions of the section of the Village Code that are expected to be modified:

ERIE COUNTY MULTI-JURISDICTIONAL HAZARD MITIGATION PLAN UPDATE

In 2005, the Village of Williamsville worked in conjunction with Erie County and other municipalities within the County to create the Erie County Multi-Jurisdictional Hazard Mitigation Plan.  Updates are required on a five-year cycle following FEMA approval in order to comply with the Disaster Mitigation Act of 2000.  Erie County ahs received grant funding from FEMA to prepare the first update to the original plan, and the Village Board of Trustees has chosen to participate in this update.
