Building
Department
The
Village Building Department issues permits to build homes, remodel
buildings, erect fences and pools, conducts inspections and issues
Certificates of Occupancy, as well as answers questions regarding the Village Code. Some of the sections of the code are
outlined here.

Department
of Public Works
The Department of Public Works provides important services to Village
residents including maintenance of streets, snow removal and sanitary,
storm and water line inspection and repairs. Street sign maintenance and up
keep of the parks and village owned buildings are also included in their
responsibilities.

Village
Court
The Village Court is headed by a Village Justice who is elected to a four
year term. A Prosecuting Attorney is appointed
yearly by the Village Board of Trustees. Cases handled by the Village Court
include traffic and parking violations as well as misdemeanors, small
claims and Village Code violations. Court is in session on Friday’s at
9:00 am.

Williamsville
Fire Department
The property and lives of the residents of the Village of Williamsville and
areas of Amherst surrounding the Village are protected by the volunteers
from the Williamsville Fire Department. This efficient, well-trained and
responsive fire department works out of two fire halls. Station #l, the
main station, is adjacent to the Village Hall. Station #2 is located at 5045 Sheridan Drive.
The two stations house a variety of up-to-date fire fighting apparatus.
